Even if Danielle Bouchard says to be in constant artistic research, a link unites each of her canvases: the emotion. Her goal is that the colors, the shapes, the composition and the ambiance of her paintings create an emotion, or at least a feeling, in the person that looks at them.

At times with sketches, but more often directly on the canvas without pre-conceived ideas, Danielle Bouchard lets herself be influenced by the colors chosen following the inspiration of the moment. Frequently, it is only after working on the back-ground that she will find the way, the style of her painting. She stars many paintings at the same time and works on the one that inspires her. A painting, then, may rest unaccomplished for several months before it is solved.

For her, an abstract space is a free space, where each one can interpret in his own way whatever he wants. She prefers listening to how people see her paintings, rather than explaining what she wanted to illustrate, since what is important to her is that painting be a great source of personal achievement and that the others, those who look at her work and like it, feel, see, grasp in her art something that be their own.
